1. Our Commitment to Accessibility
Weddings bring together family members of every generation, including elderly grandparents, loved ones with low vision, and guests using assistive technologies.
FliqaIndia Private Limited is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities across the Fliqa Album website and Android application. We continually improve the user experience and apply relevant accessibility standards, striving to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.
2. Implemented Accessibility Features
High Color Contrast
Our color palette pairs deep forest green (#26362D) and wedding burgundy (#A72F4D) against warm ivory (#F7F0E6), providing strong contrast ratios exceeding WCAG AA minimum thresholds for body text and navigation.
Keyboard Navigation
All interactive elements, buttons, accordions, and links feature visible focus rings (focus-visible:ring-2) and can be operated without a mouse using standard keyboard navigation (Tab, Enter, Space, Escape).
Screen Reader Optimization
We employ semantic HTML5 markup (header, nav, main, footer, article) alongside descriptive aria-label and aria-expanded attributes for disclosure accordions and mobile drawers.
Pinch & Double-Tap Zoom
Within the mobile Android viewer, users with low vision can double-tap or pinch to magnify photographs up to 2.2x to read small text or inspect expressions comfortably.
3. Technical Limitations & Workarounds
Wedding albums are primarily visual, photographic works composed in PDF format. While our interface and navigation controls are fully accessible:
- Photographic Text: Any artistic calligraphic typography embedded directly into the photographic artwork by the studio may not be machine-readable by screen readers.
- Audio Tracks: Background music tracks are purely instrumental and contain no spoken dialogue, so audio descriptions are not applicable. Volume and mute controls are prominently accessible in the viewer.
